Japanese-themed hotel opens in Yangon

Related imageA Japanese-themed hotel, Shin Ye Htut, was inaugurated in Yangon. With its theme and convenient location near the Japanese embassy, the Shin Ye Htut, will be a draw for visitors from Nippon, said a senior diplomat with the Japanese embassy.

“The hotel will provide a peaceful ambience to Japanese people visiting Myanmar for business or pleasure,” said Counsellor (Economic & ODA) Mr. Kazuyiki Takimi from the Japanese embassy at the hotel’s opening ceremony.

“We opened this hotel near the Japanese embassy to serve our friends from the Land of the Rising Sun, as Myanmar has already provided them visa exemption,” said U Ye Htut, the chairman of the Shin Ye Htut Group of Companies.

International Tourism Expo Myanmar 2018 will be held in Yangon

Image result for international tourism expo myanmarIn order to develop international tourism services and domestic tourism sectors, International Tourism Expo Myanmar – ITEM 2018 will be held at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon with the support of Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF) and Myanmar China Friendship Association (MCFA).

At the expo, Foreign and domestic airways, Banking and insurance industries, Hotels, Cruise ship companies, International and domestic travel services, Travel-related products selling companies, Car services companies and telecommunication companies will participate to expose their services.

Due to the expo, Myanmar Tourism Sector could be highly develop and get much more income from foreign exchange money, travel-related domestic businesses could improve and more chances to get job opportunities and can get well known Natural Beauty,Tradition and History of Myanmar by other countries.

Amata Holding Public Co begins share sales

Amata Holding Public Company Ltd doing business mainly in hotel and tourism industry has started selling shares worth K2 million to public members.

Share sales were held at Sedona Hotel in Yangon on August 26. The company is due to sell shares not only to Myanmar citizens but also to foreigners, said company chairman Win Aung. One share of Amata Holding Co is worth K5, 000. Now, sale of shares worth K2 million has started, and up to shares worth K10 billion will be sold.

Those shares of Amata Holding Public Company are being sold at KBZ Stirling Coleman Securities Company, Myanmar Securities Exchange Centre Company, AYA Trust Securities Company, CB Securities Company and Amara Investment Securities Company from August 13 to September 12. The company aims to become YSX listed company in 2019.

Grand Mercure announces first Myanmar property opening

French hotel chain Grand Mercure has announced the opening of its first property in Myanmar, in the commercial capital of Yangon.

According to an industry report, the Grand Mercure Yangon Golden Empire has 175 rooms, ranging in size from 30 square metre rooms to 340 sqm suites. The new property, which is located in South Okkalapa Township, will also host a restaurant, deli, a pool bar and two ballrooms that can host up to 400 guests, the report in BWhotelier.com said.

Earlier this year, the luxury Excelsior Hotel opened in Yangon, while American hotelier Rosewood is expected to open a large-scale hotel overlooking Yangon River within the coming months.
